Anushka Shetty Speaks on AIDS

TeachAIDS (www.teachaids.org) is a nonprofit social venture founded at Stanford that creates software that solves numerous persistent problems in HIV prevention education around the world. TeachAIDS uses a research-based design process to develop medically-accurate, pedagogically-grounded, and culturally-tailored animated software to optimize learning and retention.

Used in more than 70 countries, in partnership with national and international organizations, and incorporating the voices of cultural icons, TeachAIDS provides the most effective HIV and AIDS prevention software to educators, governments, and NGOs around the world -- for free.

On November 26th, 2010, the Nimmagadda Foundation hosted a launch event for the TeachAIDS Telugu and Indian English animations, featuring the voices of cultural icons Shabana Azmi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anushka Shetty, Shruti Haasan, and more. The event was titled "HIV/AIDS Awareness: Innovative Communication" and included a speech by actress Anushka Shetty.
